About Heritage Rugcrafters of Etobicoke

The members of the Heritage Rugcrafters of Etobicoke aim to practise, promote and teach the techniques of traditional rughooking in a congenial group setting.

We welcome all new members who will enjoy the benefits of being a Branch of the Ontario Craft Guild for an annual fee of $30.00 plus $75.00 NPCC Membership fee.

• Borrow rughooking books & magazines from HRE library
• Arrange trips to rughooking events
• Sponsor workshops taught by accredited instructors from the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild
• Knowledge exchange and sharing of experiences
• Bi-annual newsletter

Meetings

Four meetings a month all year are held in the air-conditioned Fibre Arts Studio "C" in Neilson Park Creative Centre

• 1st and 3rd Tuesday, 9.30 am to 4.00 pm
• 2nd and 4th Tuesday, 7.00 pm. to 9.30 pm

During regular meetings, members work on projects of choice using various techniques: primitive, colour shading, pictorial and oriental. New and recycled materials are used to create rugs, cushions tops, wall hangings, coasters, chair pads and other items.
