Spring 2023 at NPCC!

We’re ready for spring with our fresh release of spring and summer classes, workshops and events for adults, teens and kids!

Check out our new offerings of classes and workshops for adults that are offered at the centre and online.

For kids we’re offering a wide variety of classes and camps. Spring Saturday and after school classes are now open for registration. PA Day Camps are offered for the remainder of the school year. Registration is also open for our Summer 2023 Camps for kids and teens ages 5 to 14.

Looking for an all ages family activity? We’re offering a new selection of family workshops for the spring months. Registration is required.

NPCC is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2023! We have an exciting line up of events throughout the year to celebrate our 30th! Our upcoming anniversary events are listed on our Events Page.

Summer Camper Scholarship Fund!

This year’s goal is to raise $10,125: this will send 25 kids to camp for an entire week; kids who will otherwise not have the opportunity to go to camp.

33rd Purely Pastel Exhibition

From May 30 to June 17 join us in celebrating the wonderful medium of pastels!

Pastel Artists.CA presents this exhibition of artwork that is exclusively created in pastel. From landscapes to still life, portraits to abstract, our members create beautiful work in different styles.

Artist talk with Karen Richter on Wednesday, May 31 from 4:30pm to 6pm.

The opening reception is on Thursday, June 1, 2023, 7 pm to 9 pm, all are welcome.

NPCC Celebrates Pride (Call For Entry)

NPCC is hosting a fun-filled all-ages evening of events to celebrate Pride month. Drop by and take part in the festivities by contributing to our community mural, building a Pride Garden, Gallery Gala fashion show, artist talks, workshops and more! Free of charge. We graciously acknowledge our community partner, Toronto Pearson.

All are welcome to attend on Friday, June 15,  5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. 

Follow Your Heart Wampum (Beaded Keychain or Pendant)

On June 27 join us in celebrating Indigenous History Month and our 30th Anniversary with artist Naomi Smith! The Follow Your Heart keychain workshop focuses on making a flat beaded heart shaped keychain featuring the wampum colours of white and purple.

Participants will create a beaded keychain or pendant using beading techniques with a distinctive Indigenous flair.

Free of charge. Registration is required, materials are included.

NPCC Drum Circle In Neilson Park

We’re celebrating our 30th Anniversary with the NPCC Drum Circle In The Park!

Join the circle as we play traditional African hand-drumming rhythms led by Ed Lettner from The Music Studio. This event is planned for out-of-doors, in case of inclement weather, we will be moving inside Neilson Park Creative Centre. Beginner to advanced drummers are welcome.

Free of charge. Registration is required, materials are included.

NPCC Creative Festival

The Neilson Park Creative Festival features outdoor art and fine craft vendors, live music, a plein-air competition, food and drink with free parking on-site on July 15 at 10: 00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
