For Hayes
My inspiration in creating the design for the kite was my grandson Hayes who is 1.5 years old. His passion, at this time in his life, is construction vehicles. In his limited vocabulary, he knows all the names of these vehicles. He lives on a busy street of Toronto, where there is a lot construction going on. He watches the trucks in action and admires what they are capable of doing. He listens to the noise they make and to him it sounds like music. He has a collection of truck toys and plays with them every day. In my design, I put the construction vehicles in front of the Toronto skyline. Toronto is truly a city of building, reconstruction and innovation. It is modern and spectacular.
