I wanted to explore the feeling of losing my feeling of identity and stability throughout lockdown. Everything blurred together has been interspersed by moments of consciousness among a years long haze. The feeling of waking in the night from a bloody nose and not having the energy to stop the bleeding. Staring into the mirror and not quite recognizing your face or the room you are standing in. Everything becomes a bit to real for a minute, bringing an unsettling clarity.

The figure is left blurry and unfinished while the room is detailed and washed out by fluorescent light to show how despite the world refocusing you still don’t quite recognize yourself. The blood and figure and the only color in the room to push how out of place you are in a room you don’t quite recognize.
