50 Years of EQG!

This year is the Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild (EQG) Golden Anniversary. They have celebrated the entire year with the installation of their festive quilt bunting, their magnificent quilt show Quilt Fever in March, their 50th celebration party in June, and finally, their annual Hallway Challenge with the theme of “50”.
It’s been a year of “quilty” fun! They have enjoyed the festivities and taken time to appreciate the value of this guild to it’s members. They remembered those who established the guild, those who led it over the years, and those who are no longer with us. (May they have found the heavenly quilting studio where there is endless stash, and the bobbins never run out!)
This year, they encouraged members to capture the theme of “50” with a maximum size of no more that 24″x24″.
Please enjoy the creativity of the EQG quilters, who intend to continue quilting for at least another 50 years! They have already marked the 100th Anniversary
celebrations in our agendas!
The Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild (EQG) is one of the oldest quilting guilds in Canada.
Since EQG was formed in 1975, the guild has grown to about 160 members and incorporates a wide range of interests and skill levels. Membership is open to people of all ages interested in any aspect of quilting.
The Etobicoke Quilters’ Guild is a resident art group of Neilson Park Creative Centre.
