This is the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA) Annual Membership Exhibition of Selected Works 2023.
The Ontario Society of Artists has a long history as a diverse, inclusive group of artists with a shared social identity that nurtures creativity and elevates awareness within Ontario communities and beyond.
HOMEWARD: Where the Heart Lives
We invite the viewers to join us in this visual exploration of one’s personal sense of ‘Home’.
While many interpretations of ‘Home’ exist and overlap, the word itself always seems to carry an emotional pull which circumambulates around the common notion that ‘Home’ is a place, a space, a structure…. where security, comfort, acceptance and belonging awaits us.
Though to some this remains a truth, others have a conception of ‘Home’ as a more existential feeling. It exists within their close relationships and their connection to community, as well as their memories, hopes and dreams. Inherently, Home is where the Heart lives.
