From bones, feathers and shells to plants, animals and insects — closer inspection of natural subjects allows us to more fully appreciate the beauty all around us. We’ll explore a range of subjects, from foraged to internet images, with latitude for personal choices. Working with drawing, painting and your own materials, explore nature in ways reflecting a more considered and intimate involvement. As with all of Kal’s courses, there will be inspiring masterwork examples, open-ended exercises and plenty of discussion — all in a supportive environment. Please note that this is not a wildlife course. Rather, natural subjects will act as springboards for personal creative explorations. Requests for recordings of online classes require 7 days of notice via email to the instructor.
