A family visit, oblivious to the approaching storm.
My work is personal and focuses on the psychological legacies that link generations. I use elements of narrative and portraiture to explore questions of identity and the hidden psychological motivations and patterns that undergird family mythologies. These interpretive portraits explore underlying intergenerational dynamics and speak to the nature of the myth surrounding the subject. The viewer is invited to witness the emotional specificity of someone else’s family and relate it to the mythologies of their own.

A reunion of middle-aged siblings. They have survived the worst of it, and think only of the future.
