XXI Century Woman
The XXI Century Woman is a contemporary representation of the female form, independent, defiant; she is not the reclining Venus of the past. She is confident, powerful, elegant, and inexhaustible; an undaunting female who transcends time but is seldom represented. She stands upright, moves forward with determination. She is made of many pieces/facets, she is both clothed and naked. She is both modern and timeless. The sculpture utilized both volumes and planes or facets to describe a figure who occupies space and cuts an elegant intelligent profile. The sculpture was made from paper and cast in bronze.
