Fading Reflections 1-1
For me, printmaking is an art form capable of limitless expressive capabilities, with printing processes lending themselves to experimentation in execution. Responding to my environment during the COVID-19 crisis resulted in the development of a series of abstract images reflecting my interest in the interaction of lines, shapes, colours and patterns. Fading Reflections 1/1 is a hand-pulled monoprint created using collagraph plates made from found materials, using multiple layers of printing. My process of working allows me to respond to the developing image as each plate is added.
