Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto

Lettering enthusiasts, we welcome you to join the Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto!

Meetings and Courses
Our meetings – 10 per year – offer a variety of educational and hands-on activities related to the calligraphic arts. Guest speakers, artist demonstrations, opportunities to practice with experienced instructors and the camaraderie of shared interests are on offer. We work with all types of lettering arts’ materials from gouache to gold while learning about scripts, calligraphic history, design, new trends and more.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday evening of the month from September to December, and March to June. January and February meetings are held on a Sunday afternoon. For the 2020-2021 year, Zoom will be an option for all meetings, and in-person capacity in our studio at Neilson Park Creative Centre will be capped at 10 people per event.

A highlight of the guild are the courses and workshops we offer throughout the year, open to members and non-members alike. Our instructors guide your creativity and calligraphic skills as you grow in your understanding of “beautiful writing” and related topics.

If you’d like to be a guest at one of our Guild meetings, or want to find out more about CAGT activities and membership, please contact us at info@calligraphicartstoronto.ca.

You’ll find lots of information about us and what we offer at our website www.calligraphicarts.ca , on Facebook and on Instagram.
