George Lomaga, MFA and Psychedelic Mixed Media Artist leads this workshop with a discussion of how music can be used to influence works of art, how artworks can be a literal representation of music, or represent the feelings that the music inspires. Three separate work stations: Pour-Paint, Spin Art for painting vinyl records and Glass or Acetate Slide Making, will allow students to experiment and create to music. Examples of artworks will be shared, including a three-minute experimental film “Improvisations” directed by Lomaga, set to the music of renowned Canadian visual artist and musician, Nobuo Kubota. – Aired for many years on TV Ontario.
