Fabric manipulation plays with the surface of fabric to create three-dimensional folded designs. It can be used to make quilts, pillows, clothing and textile art with an eye-catching twist! Each week, techniques of fabric manipulation will be demonstrated and practiced, focusing on various techniques including (but certainly not limited to) folding, pleating, reliefs, gathering, shirring, and making darts. This class begins with an introduction to fabric manipulation.
