Winter brings the painter a chromatic reprieve with its understated, nuanced palette. We’ll begin by examining the season’s colours and their associations before launching into exploratory mixing exercises. From there, inspired by masterwork examples, we’ll move into more painterly, personal investigations of these quiet colours in literal and metaphorical contexts.
