Join poet and Spoken Word event presenter Desiree McKenzie for a three session workshop on poetry writing and the Spoken Word poetry process. Learn technical writing aspects, explore themes and develop a voice as a presenter. Learn not only how to craft a presentable piece but also participate in an in-class poetry slam/spoken word session to understand the process and culture of this artform. A pen, paper, the love of the written word and life experience is all you will need.
