The holidays are just around the corner! Learn how to make beautiful winter-themed cake toppers and decorations out of fondant to make your treats extra special this year. Sculptor and cake designer, Laura will provide tools and materials to show the class proper cake-covering technique and will share her skills in creating festive embellishments like snowflakes, and icicles as well as base structures and detail work for decorations like structures, toys, characters and more! The materials used in this class, although professional and food grade, are not meant to be eaten. Students will not be required to bring in cakes as Styrofoam forms will be made available for appropriate under structure as participants learn to work with fondant. A kit will be made available at the start of the class for $45.00, no tax, payable directly to the instructor. Cash accepted. Kit includes fondant, Styrofoam forms, a base slab and food colourings. Sculpting and rolling tools will be made available for use during class time. Tools will also be available for purchase if preferred. No additional materials are required other than a drawing pad for your ideas and an apron.
