Create loose and expressive paintings of a fall scenes using the vibrant, blend-able, spontaneous, and forgiving medium of soft pastel. In this class, participants will learn how to create beautiful works of Ontario fall landscape scenery with a process that starts from underpainting and adding layers of pastels and continues through several stages of the painting process. Various painting techniques like blending and colour mixing will be demonstrated and practiced. Elements of a successful painting will be discussed, and a step-by-step demonstration combined with a positive and constructive critique will follow. Lots of individual attention will help participants to master this amazing medium and create a large collection of finished painting by the end of the session.
