The Colour and Form Society (CFS) is pleased to present its 2025 Members’ Exhibition.

Established in 1952, the CFS has just celebrated its 70th Anniversary.  As an exhibiting society, it is an integral part of the artistic community in Ontario and supports a talented group of member artists who demonstrate a wide variety of styles and media.

With its foundations in diversity and creative freedom, the Colour and Form Society promotes independent expression in art.

Artist: Valerie MacIntosh

April 29 to May 24, 2025

Location: Parkview Gallery

Presented by: Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto

From ‘A’ to ‘Z’, originating as majuscules only in approximately 7th century BC in Italy, it has changed continually. Our exhibition showcases the rich variety of ways we represent our magical alphabet through a blend of artistic personalization and historical representation.

Our artist Mark Lurz uses browns with the grounding and delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee like Pantone’s colour of the year ‘Mocha Mousse’. For us, letters are intoxicating.

The Calligraphic Arts Guild of Toronto (CAGT) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for the continuing study of calligraphy, its history, cultural traditions, and applications for all ages. From enthusiastic beginner to professional scribe, we extend our passion for hand lettering through shared knowledge, instruction, exhibitions and community arts events.

April 22 to May 25, 2025

Location: Emergence Gallery

Presented by: Ann Eby

Faces reveal expressions. This is what attracted Ann to paint these faces.

She started painting about eight years ago at Neilson Park Creative Centre. NPCC is the first training that Ann has had as an artist. The instructors at NPCC have guided her to embrace various styles of painting. Impressionistic art seems to fit her well.

The faces she has chosen to exhibit here were chosen because she believes they portray an emotion. Leonard Cohen, is a portrait of a gentleman who often wore beautiful tailored suits and hats. In addition, his eyes portray a light of mischievousness so cleverly portrayed in his poetic lyrics.
