The Etobicoke Printmakers meet Thursdays at the Neilson Art Centre for printmaking. This group of printmakers have explored and shared many different techniques and sources of inspiration over the years as they find new ways to communicate their individual vision through the art of printmaking. Their annual shows are opportunities to showcase their more recent works.
The artists have used a wide range of printing techniques including collagraphy, drypoint, etching, monotype, relief, screen and digital printing to create original works of art.
The group is excited by the challenge and creative possibilities in the printmaking process where each pull of a print often feels like a new discovery. Materials and methods are constantly evolving and much of their time is spent exploring the new and reinventing the old. They invite you to share their “discoveries”.
Members of the Group will be giving a talk in the Gallery to explain some of their processes on Wednesday, November 9th at 7:30pm. This talk is part of the Etobicoke Art Group Lecture series and everyone is invited.
